Fuente SantaDeze pagina in Nederlands
Fuente Santa is a hot-spring which emerges from the base of a volcanic flow near the coast just north -west of the lighthouses at Fuencaliente. Fuen = Spring, Caliente = hot.The spring dissappeared during the volcanic eruption in 1677.
It was rediscovered in the 1990's and work was begun on a tunnel to open the spring and make it useable. So far a tunnel has been bored under the lava flow and measurements have been taken. Various government departments and tourist organisations are now trying to decide how to best exploit it.
In January 2006 there was nothing special to be seen.
