Juan Adalid is an area in the far north west of La Palma, far from the centers of population. It is almost pure undisturbed nature apart from a single access road, a few houses and a line of Electricity generating wind turbines. The ridge on which the turbines stand is a very windy point and an obvious candidate for a wind energy project. The area is very green and quiet with lots of pasture land quite close to the water. To reach the coast you really need a 4 wheel drive vehicle or strong legs. |

The 7 wind turbines or windmills. In 2008 plans were announced to replace them with 2 larger turbines. |
