Tazacorte has 2 main parts, the village around the beach and harbour and the main part of Tazacorte which is about 1km higher up the hill and overlooks the ocean and the banana plantations. Tazacorte pueblo has shops, a church, colourful old houses and typical government buildings but also new houses and supermarkets. |

The new square in front of the town hall and the supermarkets of Tazacorte pueblo is nearing completion. The benches under the trees have returned so the elderly men can go back to their favourite occupation .. sitting in the shade watching the world go by. |
