The climate on La Palma is very good for old cars. They don't rust away so quickly.
There are several clubs on the island which encourage individuals and garages on the island to restore and maintain old cars in good running order. There are regular tours of the islands so don't be surprised if you see a long line of old cars driving around or individual cars parked in the streets. |

Vehicles seem to last longer on La Palma, probably because of good roads and the short trips that most people take. This old 3 wheeler truck still works fine .. so why change it? |
